Hello there readers! I know its been awhile… to be exact 29 days since my last entry. But I’m glad to be back! April…. oh damn you April. It’s been a hard month, specially with the freaking income tax forms. Mine was the short form but still =/ argh! Although can’t wait for my tax refund! I hear its gonna be a nice amount $$$ CAAASSHHHIIIIINNN!!! $_$ Hopefully with that I’ll get my new laptop ^.^ Yeah a new laptop bitches, with the release of Guild Wars 2 and Diablo 3 around the corner I need a new baby that can run those games. Hopefully I won’t spend no more then $1600 on a new computer…
ANYWAYS before I loose my train of thought!
Often we are so involved in our daily life…work….studies…family.. that sometimes we just forget to take time off and enjoy life. This is a must! There most be a balance between work and responsibilities and simply having a carefree day. And today my friend… was one of those days for me!
I can’t tell you how it feels waking up in the morning without an alarm clock or thinking “OH SHIT I OVERSLEPT I’M GONNA BE LATE!” (which is my story at least once a week :-/ ) Just waking up having a light breakfast, and just hit the road.
Today I spent it with my lovely girlfriend. We just disconnected from the world for about 5-6 hours. We went to Old San Juan, had lunch at a place called “La Bombonera” which I had never gone too and tommorow monday their going to close operations, I do not know if its permanently or just for innovations. BUT! I was not going to risk it.
After that we walked a little but around San Juan and had a nice cup of coffee at Cafe Cuatro Sombras (Coffee Four Shadows). It’s a nice homegrown coffee shop besides Vaca Brava (Where the old Hard Rock Cafe used to be) It’s a nice small comfy dark place. Where you have one of the best coffee I have tasted.
If you have a chance make sure to go visit, you will taste one of the finest homegrown coffee. Here’s their Facebook Page.
After a nice lunch and a really good cup of coffee we were off to the beach.
You don’t know how long I been waiting to go the beach. And finally I was able too! I took my big ass quilt, laid it on the sand, and just sit back, relaxed and look at the ocean…
The mind is a powerful thing, but I needs a day off as well. Once every now and then we need to kill the routine, go out and just enjoy life with the people you love. There’s nothing better than having a day like this to combat stress.
Today I discharged my battery. And charged it back up with positive clean energy. Ready to take on another week of work, studies and simply… life.
If we don’t take a moment to stop and breath, appreciate and enjoy life then is it worth killing yourself over work and been unhappy…? That’s what I thought!
So go on! Have your lazy day, go out, do nothing, and just simply enjoy life the way you want
